If you are a supplier or an OEM of medical devices or medical products, including implants, we may offer you a range of femto-second pulse laser based applications
Traceability and Markings
Our micro-QR code is ideal for compliance with the EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR) 2017/745, EU In Vitro Diagnostic Medical Device Regulation (IVDR) 2017/746 and U.S. Federal Drug Administration (FDA) unique device identification (UDI) Final Rule.
Labels on medical devices must contain an UDI code in human-and-machine-readable form. QR code is a perfect tool for the task. We are able to provide marking even to the smallest medical devices.
Our micro QR solution can be used with legacy ERP and data systems, whereas combined with certified and secure blockchain API, it delivers an all round solution.
Scaffolds and Tissue Engineering
Our additive manufacturing capabilities enable us to produce biocompatible cellular scaffolds in predefined and complex geometries.
Surface Modification
Our subtractive manufacturing capabilities are excellent for permanent metal or ceramic surface modification in order to change wetting properties to obtain osteoinductive, antibacterial or other properties of medical devices, such as implants. It can be combined with additive surface structuring as the second step of processing.
Glaucoma implant
We are developing novel glaucoma implant for open angle glaucoma treatment, combining cutting edge additive micro manufacturing technology and support from leading glaucoma surgeons. Once successfully approved, such implant might change the existing protocols of glaucoma treatments.
Our technology of sub centimeter scale with features down to micrometer allows for completely novel implant features. While technology is cutting edge and only possible in recent years, we are targeting to exploit the same time-tested action route. The microfluidic research on microchannels was done together with Hochcschule Luzern (Switzerland) and supported by Innosuisse (Switzerland) grant. It is the first dual action implant mimicking natural ocular outflow routes and having built in outflow control with preset and differentiated target.
EU/USA patent pending additively manufactured novel ocular implant seeks to minimise foreign body response and allow earlier surgery with the efficiency of traditional surgery, at a fraction of cost.
